Our strengths and expertise is our commercial approach to problem solving and the ability to put ourselves ‘in the shoes’ of our clients to resolve dispute in the most cost efficient forum, be it court proceedings, mediation, arbitration or adjudication.
In addition to this we also work with our clients to establish procedures that will minimise the risk of disputes in the first place and ensure that you are on the best possible footing in the event of a dispute arising.
The dispute resolution department has a wealth of experience in protecting clients’ interests and the areas where we regularly act for clients in all forums includes:

- shareholder disputes including winding up on “just and equitable” grounds and “unfair prejudice” actions under section 459 of the Companies Act 1985 (now covered by section 994 of the Companies Act 2006) and
- professional negligence claims against architects and financial advisers
